An OOPS Activity:
Constructivist Lessons with "Inter-Tech" Flair


Introduction: The bond election is over and education won! Now it's time to spend the money!
Task: You are part of a Technology Team at WYSIWYG ISD.
You and your team are to create an interdisciplinary lesson plan to give to teacher teams in your school to utilize with the technology acquired from the recent bond election. The bond election proceeds allowed each classroom to receive 5 computers, 2 printers, 2 CD-Burners, and 1 Dukane projector.  The Technology department has set up public directories with email accounts for each educator.  The systems are in place, but interdisciplinary curriculum integration is needed.
Process:
First: brainstorm a unit topic & technology integration methods with your group.
Next:  Assign group member roles from the table below:
 
1. Telecollaboration/Teleresearch
    Coach
You are the resource specialist. As "T&T" coach you will provide team members with at least 2  text and tech activities  for students to use in telecollaboration (1) and teleresearch (1). 
2. Core Subject Coach You are a classroom teacher in a core subject area who wants to use technology resources in your instruction. You have a few websites that you find helpful and many, many ideas.You will provide at least two curricular website resources for your particular core subject area.
3. Elective Subject Coach You are a classroom teacher in an elective subject who wants to use technology resources in your instruction. You also have  websites that you find helpful and many, many ideas.You will provide at least two curricular website resources for your particular core subject area.
4. Special Education Coach You are a specialist in the Special Education field. You will provide the team members with at least two ways that they can modify instruction of the project they create. You will also help with the correct pedagogical language in lesson plan writing.
5. Product Manager You know that every great constructivist activity invites students to demonstrate their learning via product creation. 
You will provide team members with at least 4 possible product choices to demonstrate learning with ways to integrate technology into each product.
6. Standards Coach You will research the curricular standards at your state education site and determine at least three state standards that your group's project will address. Be ready to Copy and Paste these standards into the final lesson document.

Finally: Once each group member has completed their unique contribution, combine all findings into an interdisciplinary  proposal for the board. Create your own proposal or use this template.
